Course creators and coaches running email through Kajabi often hit the same wall: a new domain, or one that's had a rough patch, sends fine but lands in spam instead of the inbox. TL;DR: the fix is domain warmup, and since Kajabi doesn't expose SMTP or IMAP access, you can't connect a mailbox to a warmup tool directly — you need E-Warmup's Seedlist Warmup, which warms the domain through Kajabi's own email tool instead.
Most email warmup services work by logging into a mailbox and sending/receiving on autopilot. Kajabi doesn't offer that kind of direct access — email sends happen through Kajabi's built-in marketing tools, not a mailbox you control externally. Seedlist Warmup adapts to that: instead of E-Warmup connecting to anything, you send a real Kajabi broadcast to a list of E-Warmup's seed contacts, and our network generates the opens, replies, and engagement that build sender reputation, the same way a mailbox-based warmup would.
Step 1 | Sign up to E-Warmup, open Seedlist Warmup from the left navbar |
Step 2 | Buy a credit pack — 200 credits/$19, 600/$37, or 1,000/$55 (custom/DFY packs available for larger sends) |
Step 3 | Enter the sender address you send Kajabi broadcasts from — it must be on the domain you're warming up |
Step 4 | Download a fresh seed list (CSV) from E-Warmup |
Step 5 | In Kajabi, go to Contacts → Import and upload the CSV as its own list, kept separate from your students/customers |
Step 6 | Copy E-Warmup's tracking code into the subject line of the Kajabi email you're sending to the seed list |
Step 7 | Confirm the tracking code checkbox in E-Warmup, send the broadcast in Kajabi, then click Start Warmup back in E-Warmup |

Kajabi's built-in analytics track opens and clicks for your broadcast, but not inbox placement. For that, check your E-Warmup campaign page — it updates as the seed contacts engage with the email you sent.

Sender address matches the domain being warmed up, exactly
Seed list imported as its own separate Kajabi list — not merged with real contacts
Tracking code sitting in the subject line, untouched
Broadcast sent only to the seed list, not to students or customers
Seed volume started small, increased gradually over time
Why is my Kajabi domain going to spam even though I haven't sent much? A domain with little or no sending history hasn't built trust with inbox providers yet, so early sends are more likely to get filtered. This is exactly what warmup addresses.
Can I connect my Kajabi mailbox directly to E-Warmup instead? No — Kajabi doesn't provide SMTP or IMAP credentials, so a direct mailbox connection isn't possible. Seedlist Warmup, run through Kajabi's own broadcast tool, is the supported alternative.
Will warming up affect my actual students or customers in Kajabi? No, as long as the seed list is kept as its own separate list and the warmup broadcast is only sent there — your real contacts are never included.
Does this same method work for other course or membership platforms? Yes — any platform without SMTP access uses the same seed-list approach, including beehiiv, Moosend, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact, AWeber, GetResponse, MailerLite, Omnisend, HubSpot, and Shopify.
